The Estonia-Russia Cross Border Cooperation


"From family to society" is a cross-border cooperation project which involves two non-governmental organisations from Narva and Pskov Regional Family Centre.

The project is organized in the social field in order to contribute to the human development, increasing region potential, prosperity and social cohesion. The main pillars of the project are cooperation and empowerment.

The aim of the project is to activate, empower and support families at risk at the local level to expand their positive impact on the local society and engage them in lifelong learning process.

To achieve the aim we set following objectives:

  • Foster and encourage partnership and cooperation between Eastonian and Russian families through providing space and opportunities for it;

  • Implement learning programmes for families and social workers;

  • Provide social support and accompaniment for families and exchange good practices and experience in methodology of it;

  • Intergenerational learning inside and between families;

  • Activate and empower families through organising and implementation of joint Estonian-Russian CBC micro-initiatives;

  • Contribute and enсourage sustainable partnership and cooperation between Estonian and Russian organisations and establishments.

Target group of the project is at least 10 families from Estonia (about 40 participants), 10 families from Russia (40 participants), social workers ( at least

90 participants of seminar for social workers and conferences).
